At Geeves, we are a close-knit team on our journey to be the most preferred scaffolding provider in the Waikato region. The company is growing and has a robust pipeline of work. We have procured more gear and equipment with the growth and now need someone with yard management expertise to maintain our Scaffolding yard and gear. The nature of scaffolding is very dynamic. Gear moves in and out of the yard on a daily basis. The Yard Supervisor has the overall responsibility of managing gear and transportation to and from Geeves Scaffolding Waikato’s yard. We offer: • A competitive Pay-rate • Extremely rewarding incentive scheme • Growth Opportunities • Heaps of training and learning opportunities • A great team and work environment Responsibilities: • Take ownership of the yard management plan to ensure a high safety standard at all times • Ensure the yard is kept tidy and stacking is efficient to help minimise crews time spent in the yard • Develop/implement processes to maintain the gear in the yard • Maintain, service, and paint the gear as required • Implement loading/unloading procedures • Loading/unloading trucks • Load and deliver scaffolding materials to sites in and around the Waikato Region Other duties include: • Report all accidents and near misses and assist in all applicable investigations • Ensure the health and safety of co-workers and the public at all times We are looking for someone with: • Enthusiasm and excellent people skills • Experience in managing a yard or a similar set-up • Physical fitness - as the role requires heavy lifting • Forklift licence • Class 4 licence required You must have the right to live and work in NZ to apply for this job.
