We are motivated by ensuring we are a district of connected communities who thrive and embrace opportunities and hold this greater purpose in mind in all that we do. **ABOUT THE ROLE - NGĀ ĀHUATANGA O TE TŪRANGA** Lake Taupō, New Zealand's largest lake, is a national treasure and the source of our drinking water, providing Taupo with up to 25,000 cubic metres of drinking water every day. We continuously treat, store, and distribute water for residential, commercial, and industrial properties in Taupō, Turangi, Mangakino and 15 other settlements in the district. We also operate 350km of wastewater pipes, over 100 pump stations, and 11 wastewater treatment plants and disposal systems to ensure that every time you flush the toilet, pull the plug from a sink or have a shower, the wastewater that drains away is properly treated and returned safely to the environment. We are looking for a Wastewater Cadet to jump on board! You'll be working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that is both physically and mentally challenging.
