The Role: This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days are the same. You'll be trusted to manage your own jobs across Nelson and the wider Tasman and Marlborough region — solving problems, delivering quality work, and building strong client relationships along the way. What you'll be doing: Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing automated door systems * Installing and maintaining mechanical and electrical components * Fault-finding and problem-solving in real time * Communicating directly with clients and providing practical solutions * Managing your workflow independently while staying connected to the team Who This Role Is Perfect For: This is not an entry-level position. This suits someone experienced, capable, and ready to take ownership. You'll likely have: * Several years in a mechanical, electrical, or service-based trade * Strong fault-finding ability (electrical experience is a big plus) * An electrical licence (or working towards one) - highly advantageous * The ability to work independently and think on your feet * Solid knowledge of Nelson City and the Tasman / Marlborough regions * A professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach * A flexible, professional approach to travel, overtime, and on-call work (including after-hours and weekends as required) * Full NZ Class 1 driver licence The Lifestyle: Live and work in one of New Zealand's most sought-after regions.
