About the role: We are currently seeking for a dedicated and experienced Operations Controller, Guards, to step into a high impact with Armourguard in Palmerston North. As an Operation Controller, Guards, you’ll be at the heart of the operations by keeping our guard operations moving by ensuring compliance is well maintained, operations run safely, reliably and to the highest standards of service for our customers What You’ll be doing: • Plan, maintain and publish weekly rosters ensuring full coverage across all static guard sites. • Manage short notice staffing requirements including absences, emergencies and hospital service orders • Maintain accurate electronic rostering systems and ensure compliance with hour of work limits • Ensure all staff are inducted, trained and compliant with site specific SOPs and Health & Safety Plans. • Act as key liaison for staff and sites, escalating workforce or operational issues to the Operations Manager • Coordinate events, site visits, emergency cover and provide after hours on call support as required. • Support patrol operations, including patrol coordination, fleet maintenance scheduling and Silvertrac administration • Lead branch Health & Safety activities, toolbox talks, audit, recruitment support, training and incident investigations. What You’ll Required: To progress through the recruitment process, applicants must consent to and be able to satisfy the following pre-employment checks: • Strong leadership ability with experience managing performance and motivating teams to achieve results. • Confident communicator with strong customer focus, sound judgement, observational skills and integrity • Calm and effective under pressure, with proven conflict management and decision-making skills. • Technically capable and adaptable with solid computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
