We are now seeking a confident and capable Payroll Officer to join our close-knit team in Ōtāhuhu. Other key accountabilities include: Maintaining employee master data and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including employee data updates Submitting IRD lodgments and file PAYE & other IRD returns Assisting with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks Responding to and resolving payroll queries including leave and entitlement Identifying and recommending payroll system/process improvements The role requires that the successful applicant be on-site from Monday to Wednesday during payroll weeks for payroll processing (i.e. once per fortnight), and for payroll maintenance during non-payroll weeks. Full training will be provided on our Datacom payroll system, however experience with Datacom is an advantage. You will have | Nga Pukenga Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing in New Zealand Experience managing a large payroll (at least 100+ employees) in New Zealand Knowledge of PAYE, KiwiSaver, Holidays Act, and general payroll best practice Experience using large payroll system (Datacom or other) and strong excel skills High attention to detail with excellent analytical skills Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and confidentiality A valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship (required) When applying please include | Kia Whakauru An up-to-date CV A Cover Letter detailing: Why you’re interested in the role?
