About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services within our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Acting Human Resources Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring payroll processing runs smoothly, with a strong focus on data integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities: * Process fortnightly payroll accurately and on time using Datapay * Maintain payroll data integrity and ensure compliance with NZ legislation and Council policies * Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers in a timely, professional manner * Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues * Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement * Support reporting, reconciliations, and audit activities * Support system enhancements and process improvements, including working with Datapay * Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external providers About you We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
