Who we are:
Scotty’s Construction is a mid-size residential construction company based in Wellington, working across architectural new builds and renovations. We’re passionate about the projects we take on and proud of our reputation for producing high-quality, gold award-winning builds. What really sets us apart is our team – we’re down-to-earth, hands-on, and genuinely love what we do.
We’re on the lookout for a super-organised, can-do Executive Assistant to join our team part-time. If you love variety, enjoy keeping things running smoothly, and want to play a key role in helping the boss (and the whole team) stay on top of their game – this could be the role for you.
A snapshot of what you’ll be doing:
• Keeping the boss productive, efficient and stress-free by managing his diary, meetings, and agendas
• Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and those all-important confidential documents
• Supporting the team with HR paperwork, policies, and recruitment (from job ads through to final contracts)
• Drafting client contracts and making sure the details are spot on
• Organising team social events – we like to have fun as well as work hard!
• Coordinating entries for House of the Year and Apprentice of the Year – and all the exciting things that go along with them
• Making sure internal meetings run smoothly and agendas are ready to go
• Keeping us stocked up on PPE, uniforms, stationery and all the bits and pieces that keep the wheels turning
Who we think will be a great fit:
• You’ve worked as an EA, PA or in a busy operations support role before
• You’re the kind of person who thrives on being organised and managing your time well
• You’ve got great written and verbal communication skills (and know how to keep things professional but friendly)
• You’re confident with Microsoft, SharePoint and cloud-based tools
• You can juggle multiple tasks, use discretion and work independently when needed
• You’re resourceful, adaptable and naturally find ways to solve problems
• You’re always looking for ways to improve systems and processes
Why you’ll love working with us:
No two days are the same here – you’ll be right at the heart of the action, making a real difference. You’ll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team that values hard work, but also knows how to have a laugh and celebrate wins together.
