Emphasis on safety and teamwork in the workshop environment About the RoleWe are working with our client, a leading steel fabrication company, who delivers high quality structural and architectural steel solutions across New Zealand. They are looking for experienced MIG & FCAW welders to join their workshop team in ongoing work. Location: Mangere, AucklandEmployment Type: Ongoing temp work with full time day shift hours (Mon-Fri)Pay Rate: $30 + per hour, depending on experience ASAP Start! ResponsibilitiesAs a MIG / FCAW welder, your duties will include: * Setting up and operating MIG and FCAW welding machines safely and efficiently * Preparing metal components by cleaning, cutting and positioning for welding * Welding structural steel, frames and fabricated architectural steel to specifications * Reading and interpreting welding drawings, symbols, specifications and tolerances * Inspecting completed welds for quality, strength and compliance with NZ standards * Maintaining workshop equipment, tools and consumables in excellent condition * Following all health and safety procedures, including PPE usage and safe material handling What We Are Looking For * Proven experience in MIG and FCAW welding * NZ welding certification or equivalent experience * Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols * Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work * Team player with a proactive, safety focused approach How to ApplyApplications must be submitted through APPLY NOW with an up to date CV and work history to be considered for this position.For role related enquiries, contact Gabby or Nicole at OneStaff Botany on 09 265 0457 or 0800 178 233.
