About the RoleWe are working with our client, a leading steel fabrication company, who delivers high quality structural and architectural steel solutions across New Zealand. They are looking for experienced MIG & FCAW welders to join their workshop team in ongoing work.
Location: Mangere, AucklandEmployment Type: Ongoing temp work with full time day shift hours (Mon-Fri)Pay Rate: $30 + per hour, depending on experience

ResponsibilitiesAs a MIG / FCAW welder, your duties will include:
* Setting up and operating MIG and FCAW welding machines safely and efficiently
* Preparing metal components by cleaning, cutting and positioning for welding
* Welding structural steel, frames and fabricated architectural steel to specifications
* Reading and interpreting welding drawings, symbols, specifications and tolerances
* Inspecting completed welds for quality, strength and compliance with NZ standards
* Maintaining workshop equipment, tools and consumables in excellent condition
* Following all health and safety procedures, including PPE usage and safe material handling
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in MIG and FCAW welding
* NZ welding certification or equivalent experience
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
* Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
* Team player with a proactive, safety focused approach
