Be part of a company that values safety, quality, and integrity About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Passive Fire Installer with a strong understanding of building sites and fire safety regulations. This is a multi-skilled role that includes passive fire installations, grout & sealant applications, and quality assurance coordination. You’ll be working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Install passive fire systems including firestopping, fire-rated walls, and fire-resistant elements • Conduct inspections and testing to verify compliance with fire safety regulations • Apply grout and sealants as required • Maintain accurate documentation and QA records • Operate power and battery tools safely and effectively • Follow health & safety protocols and promote a safe working culture • Assist in other areas of the business as needed • Out of town work may be required depending on project needs What We’re Looking For • Proven experience in passive fire installation or related trades • Strong understanding of NZ building codes and fire safety regulations • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship • Certification or training in passive fire systems and QA is highly desirable • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive with a “can-do” attitude • Great communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain company vehicle Why Join Us? • Work with a supportive and professional team • Opportunities for growth and training • Be part of a company that values safety, quality, and integrity Send your CV and cover letter to sam.smith@vipprotect.co.nz or apply directly through TradeMe.
