We operate throughout New Zealand, with a proven ability to successfully undertake structural steel projects of any magnitude We our adding to our team and looking for a Site Supervisor who has experience in leading a small team of structural steel erectors/riggers and site welders. If you have experience with operating cranes and hold tickets then that is even better. We have various sites/projects running in the South Island so some out of town work will be required (on a rostered basis). Preferably you will be based locally (Canterbury) we will NOT be considering out of town applicants at this time WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Site Supervisor - Rigger/Steel Erector * Excellent spoken/written English - You MUST be able to understand/ask questions in English * Minimum 5+ years experience in structural steel erection * Experience leading a team * Knowledge of fabrication and welding (advantageous) * Be physically fit * Current EWP ticket (advantageous) * Be familiar with fixing and securing of structural steel elements according to drawings * Be able to read and interpret structural steel drawings for the purposes of steel erection on site * Ability to undertake and record daily checks of machinery/equipment and report issues * A sound knowledge of mobile crane operations elevated work platforms and all relevant site tools and plant * A dogman / rigging licence is preferred, however, not essential * Ability to read and understand a plan and set out of jobs * Understanding of bolt tightening requirements * Ability to work out of town for extended periods (South Island based) * Be able to demonstrate good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
