Shape the future of New Zealand's essential infrastructure projects Welding Compliance & Operations Coordinator Are you a certified Welding Supervisor who enjoys more than just ticking compliance boxes? Our Manawatu-based client delivers critical mechanical engineering solutions that keep New Zealand’s essential infrastructure running. With a strong pipeline of work across the infrastructure sector, we are looking for a proactive Welding Compliance & Operations Coordinator to play a key role in achieving and maintaining CC3 certification while supporting day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical welding expertise with operational coordination in a role that offers variety, responsibility, and genuine career progression. Key Responsibilities: - Lead welding compliance activities and support the company’s CC3 certification journey - Maintain and improve welding procedures, documentation, and audit readiness - Coordinate welding inspections and liaise with third-party inspectors - Support operational workflows, procurement, freight coordination, and project administration - Work closely with Operations, QA, Production, and Project teams to keep projects moving - Help drive continuous improvement across compliance and operational processes What we're looking for: - HERA Welding Supervisor certification (essential) - Solid understanding of AS/NZS 5131, ISO 3834, and AS/NZS 1554 - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - Strong organisational and communication skills - A proactive, self-starting attitude and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed - Around 5+ years' relevant industry experience - NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident Next Steps: If you're the type of person who can manage compliance requirements, solve operational challenges, and actively look for ways to add value, we'd love to hear from you.
