Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning and whole-of-life support and optimisation.
This position is responsible for maintaining and operating the water network in the greater Taupo district. We currently have a fixed term vacancy for an experienced Water Serviceperson to join our busy team that maintains the network assets.
You'll be working as part of a dedicated utilities maintenance team delivering the most efficient and quality-driven service possible to our clients. Your key duties will include routine and planned maintenance of the Taupo District Council water network. You will work within a committed team to collectively ensure our client's long-term goals are reached.
**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
* A nationally recognised qualification in Water Reticulation, or similar industry
* Driver's license: Class 1 minimum and Class 2 + WTR would be an advantage
* Confined spaces and hazard awareness training, again preferred but not necessary
* Fostering a Strong Commitment to Health and Safety
* Computer skills, being able to operate and input data into a mobile field device
