* $80k - $85k base salary depending on experience

The Role:
As the Assistant Branch Manager, you'll be the face of the trade department, leading from the front and reporting directly to the Branch Manager. A few key highlights about the role include:
* Overseeing and managing a direct team of 5-6 staff, including the trade desk and delivery drivers, as well as leading the wider team of up to 15 staff in the absence of the Branch Manager
* Delivering and exceeding day-to-day trade customer expectations, maintaining existing customers, and ensuring you have repeat buisness
* Driving operational performance across the store, ensuring both financial and non-financial metrics are met including H&S
* Overseeing and monitoring stock and inventory levels
* Ensuring you solve customer issues efficiently, which requires urgent deliveries to customers
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team with coaching
* Supporting across HR functions, including recruitment, training, and performance management
You must have:
* Proven leadership experience of 3+ years within a highly customer-centric environment within trade/plumbing/construction is a bonus, but not essential
* Passionate, outgoing, genuine and down-to-earth personality who can drive and motivate others from the front.
* Ability to demonstrate capability in financial and operational management
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a solution-focused mindset and think on your feet

* Full Clean Driver's License
* Forklift Licence - (or willing to complete)
* Pass a Medical and Drug Test
* Applicants must also have valid NZ working rights and reside in NZ
