Located in Parklands, Christchurch we offer our customers a convenient and modern shopping experience with excellent customer service. About the Role With full responsibility for the store’s day to day operations, you will need to be confident and experienced to make decisions and take action to ensure the performance expectations for the supermarket are met. As the Store Manager, your responsibilities will include: • Leading your team to drive trade activity and profitability. • Developing team knowledge and passion for products and presentation while delivering an excellent shopping experience and customer service. • Effective utilisation of resources and data to make decisions and implement change to maximise productivity and profitability. • Ensuring full compliance with internal and external standards, audits, and programmes. • Cultivating a positive team culture through the selection and training of passionate team members and managing ongoing team support and development. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ About You We are looking for our Store Manager to have: • Demonstrated ability and experience managing a retail operation with commercial success. • Focus on a customer first approach to business and owner/operator representation. • Ability to build, maintain, and positively influence stakeholder relationships. • Confidence and initiative combined with the energy to get tasks done and communicate proactively. • Strong knowledge of health and safety and food safety legislation and best practice. • Ability to adapt and be flexible with change and strive under pressure. • The ability to work a rolling 4-week roster that will include a weekend day (1 Saturday and 1 Sunday) over that period; and the flexibility for start/finish times to provide cover/ duty management. • LCQ and Manager’s Certificate and proficient computer skills. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is an opportunity for someone with a long-term career mindset who is wanting a role where you can take ownership and end-to-end responsibility.
