Summary:
Join a fast-paced team as a Despatch Admin Support, ensuring smooth operations, accurate order entry, and effective customer communication within the transport industry.
Highlights:
1. Support a busy Despatch Team with order entry and load planning
2. Engage with customers and handle diverse administrative tasks

The Orion Group is a privately-owned Company that specialises in cartage of stock feeds, from raw material stores and feed mills to farms throughout New Zealand. We’re on the lookout for an organised, hands-on Despatch Admin Support person to join our team.
If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, like being the one who keeps everything on track, and have an interest in the transport industry, this could be a great fit for you.
You’ll be right in the middle of the action supporting our Despatch Team — helping with order entry, load planning, admin, and making sure everything is accurate and running smoothly. You’ll also be dealing with customers, so a friendly, professional manner is key.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting order entry and load planning
* Keeping documentation and compliance up to date
* Handling general despatch administration
* Talking with customers and responding to enquiries
* Helping the team keep operations running efficiently
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in despatch, logistics, or admin
* Knowledge of the transport industry (a big plus)
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* A great phone manner and customer focus
* Solid Microsoft Office skills
* Experience with MyTrucking (bonus, not essential)
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Someone who can stay calm under pressure and get the job done
A bit about you:
You’re practical, reliable, and like to stay busy. You take pride in doing things right, enjoy being part of a team, and don’t mind pitching in wherever needed.
