Role Overview:
To carry out all trade and associated tasks as required for fascia, spouting, downpipes, and general roofing work
* Long Run corrugated Iron Roofing
* Membrane Experience
* Metal Cladding
Key Responsibilities:
Placing:
* Prepare and install roofing materials.
* Cut roofing materials to size to fit roof edges, valleys, and around chimneys or vents.
* Installation of long-run roofing and flashings to a high standard
* Apply felt or waterproofing membranes before laying roofing materials.
* Use specialised tools (e.g., hammers, nail guns, roofing scissors) to secure longrun to the roof structure.
Finishing:
* Install ridge caps, flashing, and trims to ensure a watertight finish.
* Apply finishing touches to the roofing structure to enhance durability and aesthetics.
* Ensure all tiles are correctly aligned and securely fastened.
* Seal any gaps or joints to prevent water ingress and air leaks.
* Check for leaks and fix any areas of concern.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Strong knowledge of different roofing materials, techniques, and installation methods (tiles, metal, etc.).
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications for roofing projects.
* Familiarity with safety protocols for working at heights and with roofing tools.
* Familiarity with roofing tools (nail guns, hammers, ladders, scaffolding) and safe working practices.
* Strong physical fitness and ability to work at heights for extended periods.
* A detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
