So who are we? Kiwi Roofing is a leading commercial roofing contractor. Kiwi Roofing specialise in commercial roof and cladding and provide services to New Zealand’s leading construction companies completing some of Auckland’s most specialised commercial and industrial buildings. Based in Mt Wellington, Kiwi Roofing operates throughout the greater Auckland region. The successful candidate may be required to travel to other regions within the North Island from time to time to complete projects. The company will cover costs associated with working outside the greater Auckland Region including travel, accommodation and meals. Key Tasks Actively participate in companies H&S Management system including: * Daily pre-start meeting * Review Hazard Register and Safe Work Method Statement * Develop Working at Height Rescue Plan when applicable * Report near misses, incident and hazards * Attend toolbox meetings Complete installation of: * Safety mesh, underlays, insulation (where required) and long-run metal roofing * Skylight roofing and safety netting. * Install long-run metal cladding, underlays, and flashings. * Install metal gutter and brackets along with PVC downpipes, metal pipe brackets. * Complete general flashing work to roof penetrations. What we are looking for in candidates: * Commitment * Reliability * Initiative * Good communication Hours of Work: * Typically Monday to Friday between 7am to 5pm * Weekend work may be required to meet construction programmes Ideally you will have: * Minimum 2 years experience in commercial or residential long-run roofing. * Site Safe Construction Passport * MEWP Operator Certificate * Working at Heights Advanced Certificate * An understanding of Health & Safety processes on commercial sites. Don't worry if you haven't completed some of the training courses or if they have lapsed, we'll bring you up to date if necessary. You have a restricted or full New Zealand driver’s licence and your own vehicle to get to and from work. You are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, or have a relevant work visa.
