Fabricator
A well-established engineering workshop in Tauranga is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Fitter to join their team. This company is known for quality workmanship, a solid reputation in the region, and a steady pipeline of interesting projects.
What you'll be doing:
Fabrication and fitting across a range of machinery and components
Working with pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and other mechanical systems
Carrying out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on equipment
Interpreting and working from engineering drawings
Using workshop tools, machinery, and welding equipment daily
Ensuring high safety and quality standards are maintained
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in fitting and fabrication work
Strong mechanical understanding, especially with pumps, gearboxes, and bearings
Solid background in maintenance and breakdown work
Competent welder (MIG/TIG/STICK - a mix is ideal but not essential)
Ability to work independently and within a team
Good attitude, reliability, and pride in workmanship
