**About the Role**
We’re looking for a capable Bluff Workshop Supervisor to lead our Mechanical & Engineering team and ensure the safe efficient and high-quality maintenance of our heavy machinery and port equipment. This leadership role is hands-on and ideal for someone who is proactive safety-focused and confident managing both workload and people.
**Location:** Bluff
**Status:** Full-time Monday to Friday
**Specific Responsibilities:**
* Lead the day-to-day operation of the Bluff workshop
* Supervise and support a small mechanical team
* Plan and prioritise workload to meet operational requirements
* Oversee servicing repairs and maintenance of heavy plant and port equipment
* Ensure H&S procedures reporting and safe work practices are consistently followed
* Maintain workshop standards documentation and compliance
* Available for rostered callouts
**Who we're after:**
* NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification or an NZQA-recognised equivalent
* A genuine self-starter with strong planning and organisational skills
* Proven ability to lead motivate and support a workshop team
* Skilled in diagnosing repairing and maintaining heavy machinery
* Strong safety mindset with a commitment to Zero Harm
