For the 2026 model year, Kia has focused on incremental improvements. The most significant update is a boost to the estimated driving range—the distance an electric vehicle can travel on a full battery charge—across the lineup. Based on Kia's projections, the entry-level EV9 Light Long Range is expected to achieve an estimated 305 miles, a 1-mile increase over the 2025 model. The mid-range Wind and Land trims see an estimated 3-mile increase to 283 miles, while the range-topping GT-Line gets a more substantial 10-mile boost for an estimated 280 miles of range. The other key addition is the Nightfall Edition, based on the Land trim. This package adds distinctive blacked-out elements, including black wheels and exterior trim, paired with an exclusive all-black interior. More importantly, it also receives a torque increase, matching the GT-Line's 516 pounds-feet of torque—a measure of rotational force that contributes to strong acceleration—compared to the standard Land's 443 pounds-feet.
