Work across structural and piping projects with high quality and safety. We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Fitter/Welder or Boilermaker to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for someone confident in heavy fabrication, pipe welding, and on-site mechanical and structural installation. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for a mix of fabrication, welding, and installation work across structural and piping projects. You’ll play a key part in ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards while working both in the workshop and on active job sites. Key Responsibilities * Fabricating and welding structural steel, pipework, and mechanical components * Installing mechanical systems and structural assemblies on-site * Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings * Working safely on active sites while following all health and safety procedures * Providing guidance and support to a Trade Assistant when required What We’re Looking For * Strong welding experience, particularly TIG welding * Proven experience in pipe welding and fabrication * Ability to work confidently with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium * Trade qualification in Heavy Fabrication (or equivalent) * Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Experience with on-site mechanical and structural installation * Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required * Ability to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal record Bonus Skills (Not Essential) * Site Safe * Working at Heights * MEWP certification What’s in It for You * $35–$38 per hour, depending on experience * Temp-to-permanent opportunity * A varied role with different projects — no two days are the same How to Apply: Click APPLY NOW or email krisma.andres@onestaff.co.nz and we’ll get you started!
