Supportive team with a strong Health & Safety focus General Labourer K&S Freighters are looking for full time employees to be involved in the preparation of flat racks and containers for transport at our Glenbrook based operations. We have the below role available: 1) General Labourer: You will be responsible for the export and import flatracks and containers for transport, this includes securing loads using chains and binders as per trained load restraint guidelines and covering these loads with shrink-wrap. You must be physically fit as loading and unloading of heavy products is required. Previous forklift experience is needed. If you have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, a passion for safety, and have a great work ethic then we would like to hear from you. Mainly Monday – Friday, weekend work required from time to time. Start time: 6:30am Generally, finish around: 4pm To be successful: • Current full driver’s license • OSH Forklift or Materials Handling Equipment experience needed • OSH License essential • Class 1 full driver’s license essential • Onsite Heavy Plant MHE (Site Truck) • Need to be physical fit. • Able to pass initial and ongoing Drug tests. • Strong communication, building relationship with Dispatchers across multiple plants onsite We will offer: • Consistent hours throughout the year • All uniform and PPE provided • Flexible and friendly team • On the job training including opportunities available for those wanting to get into the transport industry • Free pre-employment medical • Strong Health & Safety focus Applicants for this role should have NZ Residency or a valid working visa.
