The Role With ongoing innovation and growth within the industrial gases industry, we have a permanent full-time position available for an experienced Service Technician to join our Customer Engineering Services (New Zealand) team, based in Penrose, Auckland. What you will enjoy doing • Take responsibility for mechanical maintenance of equipment across customer and BOC sites with a focus on medical, industrial, food, scientific, and hospitality industries • Installation and removal of equipment is part of your role • You will calibrate and test gas analyzers at customer and BOC sites • Provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment • Refurbish Cryogenic Gas vessels and supply pumps • Conduct audits and inspections of equipment in line with codes and standards • Complete planned maintenance and breakdown tasks as required • Communicate effectively with customers both face-to-face and over the phone • Collaborate closely with local project management and sales teams What makes you great • Demonstrated experience with industrial gas system maintenance • Flexible with working hours and available for on-call duties occasionally • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong customer relationships • Proficiency with iPad/iPhone/computer skills • High attention to detail • Experience in maintenance or project installation • Flow control experience and ability to read P&ID drawings required • Experience with compressors and refrigeration is highly regarded but not essential • Instrumentation experience is highly regarded but not essential • Trade qualifications within Mechanical or Instrumentation trades with demonstrated mechanical experience • Unrestricted drivers license required • Restricted Electrical Work License and gas-fitting license are highly regarded but not essential • ASME Welding tickets and fabrication skills would be advantageous • Forklift license is highly regarded but not essential You will thrive in a team that values diversity, and you are encouraged to bring your unique perspective.
