In this hands-on leadership role, you'll provide essential support for daily reactive 3 water operations and act as a vital link between the workforce and management. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead a team of workers on-site and be on call as required * Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met. * Provide training, guidance, and support to team members. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other stakeholders. * Assist with planning and scheduling of work activities. * Perform hands-on duties as required, including operating machinery or tools. * Report any issues, delays, or incidents to management promptly. **Skills and Qualifications** * Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (Level 4 Civil Certificate) * Proven experience in a similar role or industry(construction) * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or specifications. * Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices. * Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. **Ko te take ka parekareka e koe ki te mahi ki kōnei | Why you will enjoy working here** Downer is committed to delivering excellence by ensuring our people have the environment and the means to be successful.
