Work autonomously and offer solutions to customers * Up to $50 per hour for the right person * Travel required through Otago & Lower South Island Area Role Summary : The Service Technician role is vital for the efficient operation of the business, with a focus on providing knowledgeable support directly to customers. This role can be based in Dunedin or Invercargill. About the role : ? Assess, repair and maintain entrance systems at the request of the customer and company staff, as part of a scheduled preventative maintenance programme as well as reactive breakdowns. ? Provide proactive recommendations to improve site conditions. ? Provide detailed reports of any and all progress to Service & Project Manager or both in writing (Phone or Tablet) and phone call. ? Ensure all site supplied Health & Safety procedures are followed for every job. What we require from you : ? An understanding of Industrial Doors and Docking equipment service requirements and High-Speed Doors installation and service requirements. ? Strong understanding of Installation and Service business. ? Proven technical experience. ? Ability to work autonomously. ? Comfortable working with customers both face to face and over the phone. ? Always thinking outside the box in terms of offering solutions to customers as well as looking to generate new revenue by selling the company's products and services. ?
