Join our high-performance team at Precision Auto Centre. We are currently seeking the services of a Qualified Automotive Technician to join our workshop in sunny Blenheim. To succeed in this role, you will need to be trade qualified or have work experience with diagnostic skills on a range of different vehicles. We are looking for someone with excellent diagnostic and repair skills who can hit the ground running and keep up in a busy, fast paced workshop. It's essential that you have:

Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate must have at least 3 years' work experience with diagnostic skills on a range of different vehicles or be qualified in the following duties:
• Inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tyre rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters and other jobs as required within skill level.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
• Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
• Complies safely vehicle requirements by testing engine, and combustion control standards.
• Diagnose vehicle computer related problems.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness in the workshop.
• Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs dates.
• Keep workshop equipment operating, clean and tidy by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
• Order parts as needed using computer database and phone contact.
Wages will be based on qualification, skills and experience.
Pay rate will be between $32 - $38 per hour.
This position is a permanent role Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
