Profile Polymers Ltd (PPL) is 100% New Zealand owned and operated and its located right here in the Waikato. PPL manufacture and supply a wide range of extruded profiles from both flexible and rigid plastic and injection moulded components. We’re looking for an experienced and practical Team Leader to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Injection Moulding. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead a team, keep production running smoothly, and make sure products meet our quality and delivery standards. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day production activities, supporting team development, and ensuring quality standards and production targets are consistently met. You will be responsible for: • Supervising, training, and supporting a team of Injection Moulding Operators to deliver high-performing results • Managing production workflow and materials through the factory to meet delivery deadlines and stock targets • Ensuring all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and identifying improvements in processes and systems • Working collaboratively across teams including Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Procurement to support smooth and efficient operations • Leading or assisting with training, SOP maintenance, and investigations into quality issues or process improvements We are searching for someone like you, who has: • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment (Injection Moulding experience a plus) • Strong planning and coordination skills • A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement • Excellent communication and the ability to work cross-functionally • A commitment to safety, quality, and team development At PPL, we’re driven by innovation and great customer service.
