A relevant teaching qualification, previous experience teaching/tutoring at level 1 & 2 of the NZQA qualifications framework, or a relevant industry qualification is needed. Ideal applicant will demonstrate: Excellent relationship building and self-management skills Open to learning and contributing to a continuous improvement mindset Willingness to engage with trauma informed practice Patience, resilience, adaptability, empathy and tolerance They are a team player that adds positively the team A positive role model that can motivate and inspire vulnerable people to achieve to their potential The ability to connect with a range of cultures Strong communication skills High expectations of themselves and others Ability to support the organisation to give effect to Te Triti o Waitangi.
