THE COMPANY Road Metals is a leading crushing and aggregate supply company, operating quarries, mobile crushing plant, a trucking fleet and a ready-mix concrete business. THE POSITION We are looking for an experienced Truck & Trailer Operator (Class 5). This position is based out of our Christchurch Department, with travel required at times to other departments throughout the South Island. TO BE THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT: • Experienced at operating Class 5 vehicles. • Experienced at “spreading” Truck & Trailers • Experienced at “jack kniving” • Must be passionate about their truck and trailer unit and keep them in a well maintained and clean and tidy condition at all times. • Ability to operate machinery to self-load would be an advantage • Must have good customer service and communication skills • Able to use App based systems • Will have a strong focus on Health and Safety in the workplace. • Be available for overtime and Saturday work. • Will demonstrate initiative and possess great communication skills. • Will be motivated and organised to work unsupervised.
