About the role As Site Engineer / Project Manager you’ll be in the thick of project delivery, leading site operations, coordinating teams and financial responsibilities of the job. You’ll be the go-to for translating plans into action, keeping programmes on track, ensuring QA is to spec and financial claims are completed. Based across Tairawhiti and Mangawhai, you’ll be expected to spend time at either region, driving projects from construction, maintenance and large-scale earthworks. This role is fast-paced, hands-on and made for someone who thrives on momentum, is a natural problem solver who leads with purpose and keeps the team moving forward. What you'll be doing *Oversee daily site operations, planning and coordination. *Own the project programme, tracking progress, costs, QA, identifying risks early and keeping everything on schedule. *Coordinating teams and subcontractors. *Input into procurement of new projects. *Interpreting engineering drawings and providing on the ground guidance. *Tracking progress, reporting updates and helping deliver projects on time. *Scheduling activities, resources and ordering materials. *Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and address any issues that arise. *Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and identifying and resolving problems. *Preparing detailed project plans, schedules and reports. *Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations. What we're looking for *Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. *Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer or Project Manager in the civil construction industry. *Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment – this team moves quick! *Proven experience in successfully managing project programmes. *Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. *Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. *Proficient in Microsoft office, project management software and tools. *Ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
