A bit about your role As the Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital projects across our Hokitika site. You’ll take ownership of project scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring each project aligns with business strategy and delivers the outcomes required by the Yili Oceania Capital Projects Management Office. You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and work closely with the Head of Capital Projects, the PMO team, and stakeholders across the wider Yili Oceania business. Your ability to manage multiple projects, facilitate design reviews and HAZOPs, and maintain strong documentation and communication will be essential to your success. A bit about you You are an experienced project leader with a proven ability to take projects from concept through to completion in a manufacturing or similar technical environment. You bring several years of experience applying project management methodologies, coordinating contractors, and navigating the complexities of design, installation, and commissioning. You’re someone who thrives on problem-solving, adapting plans when challenges arise, and keeping stakeholders aligned. Your communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to influence others help you build strong relationships across the business. You’re comfortable working with engineering teams, understand the importance of safety and compliance, and enjoy contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. A bit about the organisation Westland Milk Products is a well-known New Zealand end-to-end dairy manufacturer based in the beautiful South Island, with production facilities in both Christchurch and Hokitika. This role sits within our Capital Projects business unit, supporting the delivery of strategic projects that enable our long-term growth and operational excellence. Owned by the global Top 5 dairy company Yili Group, Westland Milk Products and its related companies—Oceania Dairy (Glenavy), Pure Nutrition (Rolleston), Canary Foods (Hamilton), and EasiYo (Auckland)—form the Yili Oceania group.
