The role: Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Dispatcher to join our Crane team in Timaru.  Our ideal applicant will be an experienced dispatcher looking for a change of scenery, however we will seriously consider an experienced driver ready to step from the cab into the office.  This is a brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic person, with great communication skills, the ability to pick tasks up quickly, excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, to take that next step in their career. Day-to-day tasks: * Scheduling and dispatching the Crane fleet's movements within the South Island  * Ensuring efficient use of resources by managing driver workloads and daily jobs * Managing relationships with key customers * General dispatching and office duties * Taking responsibility for events that occur and identifying when issues need to be escalated Work pattern: This a full-time permanent position primarily working Monday–Friday (approx. 6.30am-5.00pm). Always on the move, our business runs 24/7 and so as with any transport role, there will be times where flexibility and working outside normal hours may be required to support business and seasonal demands.  What you will bring to the table: * Experience within a dispatching role (preferred) and/or scheduling know-how * A high level of efficiency and attention to detail * Excellent computer skills and the ability to pick up new technology easily * Well-developed leadership, relationship building and decision-making skills * Enthusiasm, great communications skills and the ability to pick things up quickly * A strong focus on compliance, health & safety, legal driver requirements and HPMV's  * A focus on promoting a safe and healthy culture in line with our vision of SAFE WORK SAFE HOME.
