If you are hands on, safety focused and enjoy working outside this could be the job for you. About this Role: As a Container Lasher you'll be part of a team responsible for the safe loading and unloading of cargo from ships on the Timaru Container Terminal. This could include: * Lashing and unlashing containers. * Removing and inserting twist locks into containers. * Both nightshift (usually 7pm-7am) and dayshift required. Requirements for the Role * A reasonable level of fitness – most days will be spent on your feet * Willingness to work in all weather conditions * Comfortable working at heights * Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test. * Full car license preferred but not essential * A high level of Health and Safety Awareness. * Previous experience not necessary Apply now to get started in one of the most essential industries on the wharf.
