We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Drainlaying Technician to join our Wellington team as we continue expanding throughout the lower North Island. **About the Role** This is a hands-on role for someone who can confidently work independently, problem solve on site, and represent the company professionally. You’ll be involved in a mix of plumbing maintenance, drainage work, reactive callouts, diagnostics, repairs, and new installations. We need someone reliable, efficient, and motivated who takes pride in clean workmanship and delivering a high standard of service. **What You’ll Be Doing** - Residential and commercial plumbing maintenance - Drainlaying, repairs, and renewals - Drain unblocking and fault finding - CCTV drain inspections and diagnostics - Leak detection and plumbing diagnostics - Hot water cylinder replacements and upgrades - Renovation and small project work - Reactive maintenance and emergency callouts - Working alongside drainage and civil crews when required - Completing job notes, photos, and documentation accurately - Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment - Providing professional communication with clients and tenants **What We’re Looking For** - NZ Registered Plumber preferred - NZ Registered Drainlayer preferred - Current NZ driver licence - Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently - Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills - Good communication and customer service - Reliable, punctual, and well presented - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Experience with maintenance and reactive work preferred **What We Offer** - Competitive pay rates based on experience - Company vehicle - Phone and uniform - Ongoing work across Wellington and surrounding areas - Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding company - Supportive team environment - Long-term career progression within Taylor Plumbing and Taylor Contractors **About Taylor Plumbing** Taylor Plumbing is focused on building one of New Zealand’s leading integrated infrastructure service companies.
