With a strong pipeline of work including residential subdivisions, school developments, commercial car parks, and council walkway projects, this role offers long-term stability and the opportunity to work on a variety of civil infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining stormwater, sewer, and wastewater systems while working closely with experienced civil crews and machine operators. What's In It For You * Wages: $30 - $35 per hour depending on experience * Competitive hourly rates paid weekly * Ongoing work across North Canterbury * Diverse project portfolio * Long-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of work * Supportive team environment * Variety of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects * Immediate start available What You Will Be Doing * Installation of stormwater, wastewater, and sewer infrastructure * Pipe laying and trenching * Manhole and chamber installations * Reading and interpreting plans and specifications * Working safely around underground services * Assisting with site set-out and levels * Maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards * General civil construction duties as required What We Require * Previous drainlaying experience * Sound understanding of civil drainage systems * Ability to read plans and work independently * Strong work ethic and reliability * Good communication and teamwork skills * Full Class 1 Licence preferred * CCC Drainlayer Registration not required * Strong commitment to health and safety * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test * Valid NZ working rights If you're an experienced Drainlayer looking for long-term work and the opportunity to be involved in a variety of civil infrastructure projects, apply now.
