High Country Earthworks Ltd is on the lookout for an experienced Digger Operator, to be based in Fairlie South Canterbury. HCE is a leading earthworks company delivering high quality output in the Mackenzie region and surrounds, utilising a fleet of modern excavators, equipped with tilt-rotators and GPS machine control. We provide in-house TTM, Drainlaying, Landscaping, surveying and design services across residential and civil projects ensuring the successful applicant plenty of opportunities to develop and upskill. Due to a solid forward workload we are looking for a highly competent and experienced excavator operator to slot into our team of employees and contractors. You will be employed out of our base in Fairlie, South Canterbury to be the lead operator on all manner of earthworks jobs, from house site cuts and foundations, to civil trenching and infrastructure upgrades, and road maintenance requirements. This is primarily an excavators operators role, operating Quality Machines in the 5-13T range. Core competencies and experience required: -Exceptional excavator operating skills (> 4 years), WTR -The ability to forward plan and manage resource -Outstanding relationship management skills -Care, consideration and attention to detail -Experience leading up to three staff on a residential or light civil site -Experience working around live services and traffic/TTM Desired but not essential attributes: -Exceptional excavator operator skills (>8years) -Class 5 Truck license -STMS knowledge or experience, or a desire to develop in this area. -Knowledge of horizontal infrastructure projects, as well as Sealing and Paving.
