Running with a crew, manoeuvring with precision Class 5 Truck & Trailer Drivers (Roading) Christchurch & Canterbury Why this job? - Regular, steady infrastructure/roading work – no long civil shutdowns - Based in Christchurch — you’ll be home most nights - Modern fleet, supportive crew & strong safety culture - Competitive pay: Indicative rate $32-$35/hr - Immediate start for the right driver What you’ll be doing: - Operating Class 5 truck + trailer rigs in roading projects: tipping, spreading aggregate, trailer backing, jack-knifing into tight sites - Running with a crew, loading/transporting materials on site, manoeuvring with precision - Pre-trip checks, load-secure practices, working in compliance with site & transport regulations - Occasional hands-on support (when needed) within the team What we’re looking for: - NZ Class 5 licence (truck + trailer) - Solid experience driving in civil/roading or construction environment: tipping, spreading, jack-knifing, trailer backing - Confidence with Road Ranger gearbox an advantage - Excellent reversing/backing skills in tight/active sites - Strong safety mindset, reliability, punctuality, and a team-player attitude - Based in or willing to travel to Christchurch/Canterbury region - Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing How to apply: Send your CV to darron@franklinsmithgroup.co.nz .
