We’re seeking an experienced Class 4 and 5 Civil Truck Driver to join a hardworking crew on varied civil sites across the city. If you’re ready to get stuck in and help the team beyond the wheel, this role is for you. Location: Varied sites across Christchurch Start date: Immediate start available Pay rate: $32–36 per hour (paid weekly, experience dependent) About the role: You’ll be a key part of a civil construction team working on projects such as subdivisions, drainage, roadworks, and general site development. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to labour as well as drive. Your duties will include: - Operating Class 4 and 5 trucks (Road Ranger gearbox) for carting aggregate, spoil, and materials - Tipping, loading, and manoeuvring safely on active civil sites - Performing daily vehicle checks and maintaining a clean, safe truck - Assisting with labouring duties such as digging, spotting, and general site work - Following health & safety procedures and working as part of a crew To be successful, you’ll need: - Minimum 3 years’ Class 4 and 5 experience in the civil industry - Proven experience using a Road Ranger gearbox - Current Class 4 and 5 licence and reliable transport - Physically fit and happy to labour as needed - Strong reliability, punctuality, and safety focus Benefits of the role: - Immediate start with potential for ongoing work - Weekly pay at competitive rates - All PPE provided - Supportive crew and great team culture - Civil projects across a variety of Christchurch sites Why work with Tradestaff?
