This is a heritage timber preserved underground in Northland for up to 45,000 years. While stable and fully workable, it is not the same as freshly milled modern timber. You may encounter: • Natural cracks, checks, and gum veins • Internal grain tension or minor movement • Colour variation and prehistoric features • Slight bends or irregularities between pieces Every board is unique, and its value lies in its history, rarity, and ancient character — not modern uniformity. If you enjoy working with rare timbers, this lot will be deeply rewarding.
