Up for sale is a 1995 Bimota BB1 Supermono, a very rare and unique motorcycle. Built in Rimini, Italy, this lightweight single-cylinder sportbike combines Bimota’s legendary chassis engineering with the proven Rotax 650 engine. Only a handful were ever made, making this a true collector’s piece. A total of 524 Bimota BB1 Supermonos were built between 1995 and 1999. Of these, 376 were the original red/grey Supermono models, and 148 were the later Biposto (two-seat) versions finished in dark blue This is not your everyday bike – it’s a piece of motorcycle history. Perfect for someone who appreciates rare Italian engineering and wants something truly different in their garage. Technical Specs: Engine: Rotax 650cc single-cylinder, borrowed from BMW’s F650, producing ~48 hp at 6,500 rpm. • Weight: Just 145 kg, giving it nimble handling despite modest power. • Design Innovation: Fuel tank placed under the engine for a lower center of gravity. • Market Position: Bimota’s only single-cylinder motorcycle, aimed at enthusiasts who valued exclusivity and Italian design flair. The motorbike presents in excellent condition with the exception of minor paint blemishes commensurate with its age and mileage. Recently had the following work done as it had not been ridden for 5 years: -topped up coolant -drained and replenished oil 10w40 synthetic wet clutch -clean rear brake master cylinder -flush and bleed rear brake -remove and clean carbs -epoxy throttle pin back into control block so it doesn’t spin. -fix sticky front brake switch -replace perished section on fuel line (25cm) -drained fuel tank, refilled -clean and lube chain -general clean I will upload more photos tomorrow
