With a strong pipeline of work secured, we're looking for reliable, experienced Traffic Controllers who understand the role and take safety seriously. You'll be working with professional crews where traffic control is planned properly, communicated clearly, and respected as a critical part of site safety. About the role * Traffic control support on civil and roading projects * Managing vehicle, pedestrian, and site access safely * Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic management layouts * Working to approved TMPs and following STMS direction * Communicating clearly with the public and site teams * Maintaining safe, tidy, and professional work zones Shifts are allocated based on confirmed work and, where possible, advised in advance. Typical shift lengths range from 8 to 12 hours. What good looks like here * Turning up on time and ready for site * Following TMPs and instructions without needing reminders * Communicating clearly with your STMS, crew, and the public * Taking pride in running a safe, well controlled work zone * Representing the site professionally at all times Non negotiable requirements These are required and are a barrier to entry * Valid NZ Driver Licence * Own reliable vehicle to get to and from site * Previous traffic control experience * Physically fit and comfortable working long hours on your feet * Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions * Own steel cap work boots Highly regarded * Current TTM or TC qualification * Experience on civil or roading projects * Progression toward STMS What's in it for you * Competitive rates plus 8 percent holiday pay * Ongoing work with increasing demand * Minimum hours paid if a confirmed shift is cancelled * Opportunity to work across a variety of civil projects * Clear expectations and well run sites * Support from a recruiter who understands traffic management To be successful * Minimum 1 year experience in traffic management * Ability to pass a pre employment drug test * Ability to complete a Ministry of Justice background check * Ability to provide at least two contactable work references You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to apply.
