As a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) Practicing based out of Traffic Safe Takanini South Auckland Branch, you’re the one on site managing setups, making calls, reading the road, and leading a team that depends on your judgement to keep traffic flowing while managing safety risks. Cones down, signs up, radios on! This is real-time Temporary Traffic Management where your experience matters. What You’ll Be Responsible For: * Leading and supervising on-site crews allocating tasks, conducting toolbox talks, and closure briefings. * Implementing site-specific TMPs ensuring all traffic control devices (signs, cones, barriers) are correctly set up and compliant. * Monitoring traffic conditions in real time guiding road users and adjusting controls as needed to maintain flow and safety. * Keeping accurate site records including daily TTM activity logs, incident reports, and safety audits. * Championing safety! Applying a risk-based approach and upholding compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. * Liaising with stakeholders from internal managers and crews to clients, contractors, and members of the public. What You'll Bring: * STMS A/B Practicing Qualification. * MUST hold a Full Class 1 NZ Driver’s License (Bonus: If you hold a Class 2) * Experience in Traffic Management * Strong communication skills (verbal, and written) * Confidence to lead crews & apply NZGTTM principles to make risk-based decisions that prioritizes safety * Physically Fit & capable - you’ll be on your feet, lifting gear, and working outdoors in various conditions.
