Opportunity to gain experience in road inspection environments **Reliable Road Inspection Assistant / Spotter Wanted - Taupō** We're looking for a safety-focused and dependable Spotter / Assistant to support a Road Inspector across the Taupō area. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role offering steady work for someone who enjoys being on the road, working outdoors, and contributing to safe infrastructure inspections. **What You'll Be Doing:** * Accompany the Road Inspector in a company vehicle during road inspections * Spot safely for the Road Inspector when they are outside the vehicle * Act as Pilot Driver where required * Be constantly aware of traffic and road conditions to ensure safety * Ensure it is safe for the Inspector to exit and work on the roadway * Load and log inspection jobs accurately * Complete basic data entry and job recording * Drive a Class 1 vehicle in line with safe driving practices at all times * Follow all health and safety procedures on the road **What You Need:** * NZ Full Driver Licence (minimum requirement) * Confidence working around live traffic environments * Strong awareness of health and safety responsibilities * Good communication skills and ability to work closely with an Inspector * Basic computer skills for data entry * Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work * Ability to work full time, Monday to Friday **What's in It for You:** * Full-time, ongoing work with consistent weekday hours * Work based in Taupō with daily variety * On-the-job training and support * Reliable weekly pay + KiwiSaver + holiday pay + sick leave * PPE provided * Opportunity to gain experience in road inspection and traffic environments **Compliance Notes:** * Applicants must have the current right to work in New Zealand. * As per our standard procedures, all candidates must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening test. * Ministry of Justice criminal background checks are part of our standard process, please speak to our team if you need to discuss your application process further.
