About Us Nor West Contracting Ltd is a well-established civil contracting company specialising in earthworks, drainage, and civil projects. We’re looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our growing team and work on a variety of projects across Canterbury. About the Role • Technical Coordination – Verifying that on site activities follow engineering plans, specifications, and established quality requirements, including survey and onsite testing. • Site Monitoring & Reporting – Overseeing daily progress, carrying out quality assessments, and keeping thorough and accurate site documentation. • Project Support – Contributing to project planning and assisting with smooth delivery of key milestones. • Issue Resolution – Recognizing site issues early and collaborating with the project team to develop practical solutions. About You • Minimum of 4 years experience in civil construction industry in New Zealand. • Relevant Qualification in Civil Engineering (Bachelor's Degree, Certificate or Diploma). • Excellent communication skills along with an eye for detail. • Must have excellent surveying and set out skills. • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents. • Full NZ driver’s licence.
