Enjoy a collaborative culture, competitive remuneration, and strong career development pathways. **Senior Estimator - Water NZ** **Christchurch (or open to other NZ locations) | Full Time | Leadership Role** **The Opportunity** We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Senior Estimator** to join our **Water NZ** business, reporting to the **General Manager - Water NZ** and based in our Christchurch office. As a senior leader within our Utilities Projects team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping successful bid outcomes, strengthening our estimating capability, and ensuring we remain the contractor of choice for water infrastructure projects across the region. You'll lead a dedicated estimating team, collaborate with operational, engineering, and business development stakeholders, and ensure our price proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned to Downer's high standards. You will bring: * A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar, plus experience in the construction industry (including 3+ years in an estimating environment). * Demonstrated experience leading estimating teams and delivering successful tender outcomes. * Strong analytical, commercial and risk assessment capability. * Ability to build smart, cost-effective solutions and foster cross-functional collaboration. * Exceptional communication and people leadership skills, with commitment to Zero Harm. **About Energy & Utilities** Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team delivering services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
