**Tekōwhiringa | The Opportunity**
Our Wellington team requires a Quality Assurance Technician to join them. This role ensures material, construction and safety compliance along with seamless communication and reporting to management, but let's dig deeper;
* Carries out activities on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan and Project Plan etc.
* Maintain the asphalt data dockets accurately
* Record all data such as mix temperatures, mat depth etc and advise Foreman/Supervisor of departures from target.
* Participate in the preparation of Contract Quality Plans, ITP and other support documentation in line with contract specifications and requirements.
* Promote a safe and environmentally sound working environment and a culture of safe and responsible behaviours and attitudes, ensuring safety.
**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
To be successful in this role, we are seeking the preferred candidate to have the following experience & skillset;
* Experience in a roading maintenance or construction environment
* Have demonstrated interest / experience in maintaining accurate records and data management
* Be able to conduct basic risk analysis applicable to construction operations
* Be a 'Team Player' with excellent communication skills
* Have a good understanding of mathematics as applicable to surfacing operations/construction
* Have experience loading data accurately and on time as per department specifications
* Hold an engineering qualification (desirable but not essential)
