**Laboratory Analyst - ARL**
We are looking for a fixed term, full time Laboratory Analyst to join our Chemistry team at ARL, Ravensdown in our brand-new laboratory in Rolleston, Canterbury. ARL provides soil, plant, sap, feed quality and fertiliser testing for customers all over the country. This role is fixed term for 14 months to provide parental leave cover.
**About the Role**
As an experienced Laboratory Analyst, you will be part of a strong laboratory team. You'll have the chance to work with modern analytical equipment and the latest technology. You'll be responsible for preparing materials, and solutions, operating and troubleshooting lab equipment and reviewing data. Along with the rest of the team, you'll ensure a quick turn-around time for our customers’ samples while driving quality and looking to continuously improve the way we do things.
**Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A Science-related degree
- Experience using analytical instrumentation (including ICP-MS, ICP-OES, IC, HPLC, FIA, CNS, NIRS)
- At least 3 years' experience in a commercial testing laboratory
- Knowledge of soil, plant or fertiliser analysis (this is advantageous but not necessary)
- The ability to work to and meet tight deadlines
- The ability to quickly adapt to new processes and systems
- Understanding of H&S in the workplace
- An understanding of ISO 17025:2015
