Spray Painter / Abrasive Blaster
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Spray Painter / Abrasive Blaster to join our client's hardworking team in Auckland. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that values quality workmanship, reliability, and a strong safety culture.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and the application of industrial coating systems to a range of steel and industrial components. This is a hands-on role working in a fast-paced industrial environment where attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Abrasive blasting of steel and industrial surfaces
- Application of industrial coatings and protective paint systems
- Surface preparation, masking, and finishing work
- Operating blasting and spray-painting equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining equipment and keeping work areas clean and safe
- Following all site health and safety requirements
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to meet project deadlines
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in abrasive blasting and industrial spray painting
- Current fit-tested respirator certification
- Experience applying industrial and protective coating systems
- Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating specifications
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Reliable transport and a valid driver's licence
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
