You will be using a range of software to assist you in this role; therefore, computer skills are vital, along with the ability to prioritise and organise your work to achieve results. A background in the steel industry or an interest in engineering would be preferable; however, getting someone with the right attitude and the willingness to strive for continuous improvement is imperative. The successful applicant will: • Load & Unload Trucks with both Cranes and Forklift • Prepare the completed job for shipping/dispatch • Provide excellent customer service • Organise and document Steel Stocks arriving from across New Zealand • Reconcile and group orders and update customers on timeframes • Liaise with production To succeed in this role, you will need: • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Experience with forklifts and, ideally overhead cranes, although full training will be provided for both • Experience in a Dispatch position, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment • Familiar with using general computer programs, such as Word and Excel • Good command of the English language and competent "on phone" skills are required • Great organisational skills All applicants must be legally allowed to work in New Zealand and ideally live in Dunedin or the surrounding areas.
