What We Need From You!! Experience & Leadership: *Minimum Level 4 NZQA Arboriculture qualification (or international equivalent) *At least 5 years of solid climbing experience – we’re after someone confident and capable in the canopy *Clean NZ full driver’s licence or a transferrable international licence *Class 2 preferred, but not essential *Proven ability to lead a crew safely, efficiently, and with good humour Attitude: *Honest, trustworthy, reliable, punctual *Strong work ethic and pride in your workmanship *You turn up ready to work, not ready to complain. People skills: *Can communicate well with the team and clients *Help maintain a positive and safe work environment Training mindset: *Willing to mentor and train upcoming arborists and ground crew – share the knowledge, not just the workload. What You’ll Be Doing! As a Senior Arborist & Crew Leader, you’ll be right in the thick of the action — not just trimming hedges and pruning trees, but taking on technical removals including big crane-assisted removals, digger-supported jobs, and everything in between. You’ll lead from the front, whether it’s precision pruning, large-scale removals, or ongoing tree care and maintenance. You’ll also get to enjoy the fun side of the trade with rec climbs, training sessions, and opportunities to push your own skills further. And perhaps most importantly, you’ll be sharing your knowledge and experience with our up-and-coming junior arborists, helping shape the next generation of tree pros.
